Huddler ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Basement mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
Photos & Images: When you capture items using the App, photos are processed to identify items and estimate values. Images are stored locally on your device and may be sent to third-party AI services for identification and pricing. We do not store your photos on our servers.
Inventory Data: Item names, categories, descriptions, status, and price estimates are stored locally on your device. If you export your inventory, that data is generated on your device and shared at your discretion.
Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (such as feature usage counts and crash reports) to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
No Account Required: The App does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact information.
We use the information described above solely to: provide AI-powered item identification and price estimation, enable inventory organization and export features, improve app performance and fix bugs, and track achievement and collection statistics within the App.
The App may use third-party services for AI image recognition and price estimation. These services process your photos to return item identification and pricing data. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Your inventory data and images are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain external databases of your personal inventory. We implement reasonable security measures to protect data transmitted to third-party AI services, but no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete such information.
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times. You can delete any item, clear your inventory, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data. For exported data, you control where it is sent and stored.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By downloading or using the Basement app ("App"), you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Basement is provided as a tool for personal inventory management and resale estimation. You may use the App for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse the App or attempt to access it through unauthorized means.
Price estimates provided by the App are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended as general guidance only. Estimates are not appraisals, guarantees of value, or offers to buy or sell. Actual resale values may vary significantly. Huddler is not responsible for any financial decisions made based on App-generated estimates.
All content, design, code, and branding within the App are the property of Huddler and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
You retain ownership of all photos and data you create within the App. By using AI features, you grant us a limited license to process your photos through third-party AI services solely for the purpose of providing item identification and pricing functionality.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated identifications or price estimates.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Huddler shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to financial loss from reliance on price estimates.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting to this page. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Q: How does the AI pricing work?
A: When you snap a photo, our AI identifies the item and searches current market data to estimate a median, low, and high resale price. A confidence score tells you how reliable the estimate is.
Q: Where is my data stored?
A: All your inventory data and photos are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers. When you use AI identification, photos are temporarily processed by our AI provider and are not retained.
Q: Can I export my inventory?
A: Yes. You can export as CSV (for Excel), tab-separated text (for Google Sheets), or a formatted shareable report.
Q: How do I change an item's status?
A: Tap any item to edit it, or use bulk operations to change multiple items at once. Statuses include Inbox, Basement (keeping), For Sale, Sold, and Archived.
Q: Is the app free?
A: Basement is free to download and use.
